Workshop on Ethics, Education + Religious Studies

Prof. Dr. Karsten Lehmann moderates workshop of the Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Religionswissenschaft (ÖGRW) and the Department of Religious Studies.

The workshop will deal with Ethics-Education / Education and the Academic Study of Religion in Austria.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Kowatsch will present a paper dealing with the legal framework of Religionskunde / Instruction on Religion in Austria. Prof. Dr. Wolfram Reiss and Mag. Robert Wurzrainer will give a talk on the potential of the Instruction on Religion (based upon a Religious Studies-approach) in Austria. Inter alia Reiss and Wurzrainer will report on their experiences editing the school book „Vielfalt (er)leben - Ethik“.  

The workshop will take place

  • on April 21st 2023,
  • from 15:30 to 18:00 o'clock
  • in Hörsaal 1 (Universitätsring 1).
