The edited volume provides a compact, up-to-date and easily accessible insight into Austria's religious diversity. In the introduction, the editors present the underlying concept of religion. The next two chapters provide an outline of developments in the history of religions as well as the legal history in dealing with religions. The most extensive parts of the book examine the entire religious landscape of Austria from the perspective of Religious Studies. This also includes small groups, agnostic and atheist traditions. The focus is on internal diversity and the present. Finally, the book discusses the interconnection of Austria's religions with different areas of society (education, art, media, politics, economy, law).
