The conference has been conceptualized and organized by Prof. Dr. Martin Rötting (Salzburg) and Dr. Michael A. Schmiedel (Bielefeld). It approaches the interesting and (sometimes) controversial role of Religious Studies within interreligious contexts - as an observer and/or a participant. In addition to Kasten Lehmann the conference includes papers from internationally renowned experts such as Prof. Dr. Paul Hedges (Singapore) and Prof. Dr. Anne Koch (Freiburg).
